“God has turned my life around. I have experienced what ‘rescue’ is all about and rescue is a strong word. I often look to Isaiah 40:29 which reminds me that ‘God gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.’ Hope for Women has been a blessing in my life!”
— Michelle, Program Participant

Our Purpose: It is our purpose to provide men and women with an environment where they can discover Jesus Christ and a whole new way of living. Men and women who have experienced homelessness are receiving HOPE and care in a loving atmosphere.

When men and women complete our programs, we see them reuniting with their families, getting jobs, finding housing, and becoming part of a church family. From the streets or from incarceration, this truly is a picture of life transformation.

Our Mission: To serve unhoused people of Merced County and provide hope and life transformation through Jesus Christ.

Our Vision: Unhoused people of Merced County being fed, housed, and transformed through the power of Jesus Christ.

Since 1991, we have led an effort to permanently improve the lives of those in Merced County who are homeless, those who have been incarcerated, or have been imprisoned by their own addictions. We have implemented innovative programs designed to offer the greatest long-term benefit for men, women, and families. Every changed life is a victory for which we can thank God.

Merced Rescue Mission, in coordination with Merced Rescue Mission Support Corporation and Mission Merced, is one of Merced County’s largest providers of housing and resources for people experiencing homelessness, provides specialized care and programming aimed at caring for the unique needs of our participants experiencing homelessness.
